Golden Globes

Despite the bad jokes and awkward presenters, last nights Golden Globes award show did showcase some shining stars. My favorites included Emma Stone, in an impeccibly simple Calvin Klein, Angelina Jolie, in a chic Versace, and Anne Hathaway in a shimmering Giorgio Armani Privé, which all showcased the popular high-neck and open back.

Celine Pre-Fall 2011

I am fascinated with this collection and all the contrasts that it highlights and pulls together into a cohesive collection. I love the differences color block, knit and plaid as well as the drastic textural range of the fabrics. Oh how I would just love to cuddle up in the brilliant white sweater with a latte right now..

Today I recieved some amazing news - I have been accepted to San Francisco State University, my number one choice for college next year. I am thrilled that my dreams are coming true, and I cannot wait to move to SF and study Fashion Merchandising this fall. I have an exciting new life ahead of me!!

Flair for Flare

There are a variety of things about the Burberry Prorsum Pre-Fall 2011 collection that I adore, but the flare pants are absolute genius. I was sure that after fifth grade I would never touch a flare pant again, but instead, I am mesmerized at the long lines and interesting silhouettes that these create. I now am dying to venture out of the skinny jean/legging fit and try a pant like this, but who could make a pair as great as these?

Black on Black

It has been a chilly first day back to school after winter break. I find black to be a very trusty color; all my favorite and warmest pieces are in black, a timeless and versitile neutral. And by varying the textures (leather I love you) and styles, an all black outfit can be sleek and chic with little effort at all. All the black in my closet makes for a good fall back when my brain is still foggy at 6 in the morning..
