The New Crocker

This week, mom and I realized that we do not go to Sacramento enough. It is a mere 30 minutes away and is full of great little places, including fun little restaurants and the newly expanded Crocker Art Museum. My new fur kept me nice and cozy throughout our little city adventure of inspiring art work, delicious crepes, and walks around downtown. I simply cannot wait to go back.

Chanel Pre-Fall 2011

Mr. Lagerfeld brings us the 'polar' opposite of the Grand Palais of last fall: Paris-Byzance. He describes this collection as "Granny Takes a Trip to Constantinople." Chanel highlights the importance of detail in a cool, exotic manner with the strong cultural and historical influences, and I am no less than obsessed!

Skating Skating

This is Becca, who is not only my bff, but has a great style that I am always jealous of! Last weekend we went ice skating at the rink in downtown Sacramento, and although it's no Rockefeller Center, we had a cutsey little time getting in the Christmas spirit.

Days of Christmas

Maybe it's just me, but everywhere I look I am feeling the holiday spirit. Just some photos of the festive hues of brilliant red and green, cuddly clothing, and additions to my Christmas list.

Technical Difficulties: Part 2

So I think I'm getting the hang of this camera/photography thing, but I still have no idea what I am doing. I have a whole new respect for photographers or frankly anyone who can take a good picture. My life would just be so much easier if I had someone that would just take great pictures of me... Well, such is life, but the other day I was just laying around with my little cat, Chloe, and snapped a few pictures, because practice makes perfect right? I wish.

By the book

It was great enough that the November issue of Nylon had an article on San Francisco, but I was very pleasently surprised when I turned the page and saw an entire third of a page about Shotwell! A friend introduced me to Shotwell before thier move to thier current location on Grant, close to the gate to Chinatown. The new space they have is really great and the store has a fun vibe that I love visiting.

For the past few years the shop and thier popularity have grown, and I always leave wishing I had more money to spend on the great selection of merchandise. They carry so many of my most frequently lusted-after brands, like Elizabeth and James, Dolce Vita, and Jeffrey Campbell, as well as an excellent vintage collection. They also never forget to accesorize, and I am constantly impressed by the amazing jewelry pieces that are entirely chic and unique. If you are ever in SF, visiting Shotwell is an automatic must. Technological Difficulties Part I

I know it's a really nice camera, but I hate it. I cannot figure it out for the life of me and it's making it really hard for me to post what I want. Trail and error is only so successful, I really need to get a tutorial or something. I went through so much trouble and only got one usable picture. Ugh.

Crazy about Nothing

I am obsessed with the neutrals of fall. I have always been a huge fan of black and gray, but right now any variation of tan - oatmeal, camel, wheat, beige, desert sand, khaki, you name it - I am in love with it!

With daylight savings ending and finally some real fall weather, I thought today would be a good day to pull out my new Urban Outfitters Fur infinity scarf. Needless to say, it is so soft and cuddly, it managed to keep me nice and warm, and I have a feeling it will be very handy this season.
