Handbags are taking the stage right now, with a fresh take of the clutch at the forefront. I love how such an impractical piece is being expanded upon. With the color blocking or translucent trends of spring, the oversize clutch has the ability to tie together any outfit in the coming season.

I'm starting to play with my new American Apparel Maxi Skirt. I've really liked the maxi trend lately, so I think it will prove to be a good piece with alot of versitility - we shall see!

Dior Uproar

The House of Dior is built upon the values of Monsieur Christian Dior - to "not only to make his clients – indeed all women – more beautiful, but also to make them happy, to help them dream...to bring out the best in all people."

John Galliano's mistakes this past week are a disappointment to the brand, and all those who admire his amazing work. There is no one with such unique and boundless ability with clothing and creativity, but racism is unexusable. I in no way excuse his actions, but I do believe in second chances if he can handle the situation correctly. The beauty of his Fall RTW 2011 Collection reinforces the outright tragedy if this was truly Galliano's final line for Dior.

Watching Vogue

Being sick has got me watching alot of movies lately, so of course re-watching The September Issue was an immediate must. Whenever I do watch it, I am reminded of how much I love fashion. Anna Wintour is the ultimate fashion power - she is smart, influencial and so good at what she does, the "pope" of this religion that is fashion. She inspires me.

"I think what i often see it that people are frightened about fashion. Because it scares them or make them feel insecure they just put it down. On the whole people that may say, the mean things about our world I think that's usually because they feel, in some ways, excluded or, you know, not a part of 'the cool group' so as a result they just mock it.

Just because you like to put on a beautiful Carolina Herrera dress or a pair of J Brand blue jeans instead of something basic from K-Mart it doesn't mean that you're a dumb person.
There is something about fashion that can make people really nervous."

NYFW: Street Style

New York's Fall 2011 Ready-to-Wear has ended, and did not disappoint. There is so much to talk about, but first off, I must salute the amazing street style that all the lucky attendees displayed. Here are some favorites.

Maxxed Out

Today I decided my new maxi skirt would make its debut. Paired with a little red, heeled lace ups and an elfy-looking bun I just called it a day.

Couture Spring 2011

Couture collections are so inspirational and are a vessel for such strong messages by designers. I'm loving Chanel's colors, Dior's vintage vibes, and the delicacy of Valentino.
